MAIN DUTIES

 

  • Bachelor of commerce degree, with a concentration in Accounting or Finance or a relevant field, or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.

  • Registered with relevant accounting body

 

  • At least two (2) years of experience in an accounting environment. Preferably manufacturing sector
  • SAP Knowledge(mandatory)

  • Experience with Microsoft office tools (Excel / Word / PowerPoint)

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Experience in manufacturing environments will be an added advantage

Minimum Qualifications

 

  • Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL and Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition

  • Cash flow management including forecasting, payment processing and verification

  • Monthly General ledgers & bank reconciliations

  • Support Finance Manager in budget preparation and financial forecasts and report variances as well as forecasting statutory and management reports including group reports

  • Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements

  • Coordinate the annual audit process and preparation of regulatory reporting, month-end closing, prepare & post journal entries as necessary, analyze inventory evaluation and inventory roll forward

  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting

  • Manage and comply with local, and government reporting requirements and periodical tax filings

  • Asset management

  • Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit

  • Manage payroll and statutory filling and payments

  • Coordinate with the Supply Chain team to ensure accuracy and proper management of inventories

  • Facilitate document approval and Load payments online

  • Implement internal control procedures in Finance and Accounting department

  • Ensure compliance with fiscal requirements

  • Back up to Finance manager

General and Other activities

 

  • Ensure that all policies, including those concerning Health, Safety and Environmental protection, are respected, and implement or propose improvements to such practices.

  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of general policies, processes and procedures for the organization

  • Contribute to the successful execution of commercial activities in Kenya and the East Africa region, as requested by the Finance & Administration Manager
